Hi BillyJoe, Silverlight 5 is supported as long as the browser versions running it are supported. Support ultimately will end on 2021-12-10, that is a 10 year support window. See the Microsoft Silverlight Support Lifecycle Policy for details. While Microsoft has not done a good job communicating the Silverlight 5 support life cycle, the facts a still the facts.
Furthermore, Microsoft almost ever provides migration guidance and tools once a programming model has been discontinued. They do not let the developers down.

I love Silverlight but without Microsoft telling us where they are going with Silverlight I am now moving on. Everyone else feels the same too. No sense in investing in something Microsoft will not support. They do not like plugins and that is that. I know Silverlight will run in desktop mode but without support or updates to Silverlight then it is useless.
